Dear all,
I am new in PS and i have the following query. I have created the value categories in SPRO and assigned the Cost elements, but how i use them in a WBS or Project?
IN PM where there are value categories as well, you can enter them in the tab costs of a PM order, but in PS where are these categories are used?

To answer your query in the simplest way, i would say that value categories cannot be used in the same as they are used in PM. As far as PS is concerned value categories play an important role in Project Reporting. All standard SAP PS reports use value categories for reporting purpose. If there is inconsistency in the value category and cost element assignment, PS reports would not show the desired results in the output.
To understand more on this please refer the PS information system section in SAP Help.
I would suggest you to use the report painter functionality and copy the existing standard report and create a new report. Dont do any changes in the standard report.
Try to change the data in the form of the copied report so that it suits your needs. CJE1, CJE2, CJE3 etc are the tcodes to use here.
You can try this but i feel your requirement cannot be entirely satisfied here. You may have to go for custom report development.

Execute CJE6 & go to 12KST1A, Double Click on column header, there you can get Val.category as selection parameter & you can set sequires range over there.
Generally Cost incured by cost elemtn and CE assigned to CE Group then VC assign to EC Grp and value categories are intervals of

Thank you for your info. So Val. Categories are only for reporting in PS. In transaction CJE6 is it possible to change the way my report displays the results?
I do not want in order to see the val. categories to double click (drill down) but to have them as hierarchy and like i open the WBS and see the PM orders assigned to open each PM order and see tha val. categories.
I want that in order to be able to see all the pm order easily and not to have to navigate to each one.
