Escalation system in Quality Notification

Hi,

   Is there any escalation scenario is available in Notifications?

E.g: Some task is assigned to responsible person for particular time period, If task not at completed with in time period a escalation mail have to sent by the system to reporting level person automatically. 

Please provide your valuable suggestions to fulfill my requirement.

Hi,

better to implement or use Workflow, where u need to maitain the table in which u maintain the user id's of Escalated bodies and ur program will progrm ur workflow according to ur requirement and directed it to ur maintained authorized escalated bodies.
