GATP Allocation date determination

Guys,

The product allocation is working fine as the SAP Standard functionality should work. The allocation is checked based on material availability date and confirm the quantities based on alllocation quantituies. This is absolutely fine. But there is a problem with this to our business.

FOr better understanding let me put it this way.

current week=A

next week=B

Week next to next week = C

We are doing weekly allocation. We do allocation for next week - B on current week friday A.

So on next week B thursday or early friday the balance allocation is very less. Assume the balance quantity is just 50CAR. So on Friday in week B, if we create sales order for 500 cartons, where the requested delivery date is in week C. There is enough stock in week C. The Material availability is on Friday in Week C, the goods issue date is monday on Week C.

Because the material availability is on friday in week B. The allocation is restricting to only 50 CAR even though we have enough stock in week C.

Just wanted to know whether we can make the allocation look at the goods issue date not the material availability date to fix this issue.

HI Sanju,

Yes this is possible.

You can get the allocation checked based on goods issue date as part of standard sap settings in your product allocation group - set check date as Goods Issue date.

Second thing do you also have balance allocation in week C, if yes then it should confirm based on that in week C, but if you don't have any allocation left then irrespective of your stock levels it will confirm quantities equal to you allocation nos.
