Email notification not triggered when PO was rejected

Hello Experts,

Issue: When a PO is rejected ,system is not triggering E-mail notification to the SC creator. Instead SC creator gets notified in work overview in SRM Portal. checked in SOST to see if the system tried to send email notifications at the time of PO rejection. no traces found. when the SC creator accepts the decision in work overview  system is then triggering Email notification to the SC creator saying PO was rejected.

Please guide me to resolve the issue.

Can you provide further details which version of SRM are you using? Which Workflow you have activated etc?

We are on SRM 7.0 version, Extended classic, Process controlled WF.
