Document transfer from old SOLMAN to NEW SOLMAN

Hello Experts,

I have a scenario to be implemented.

I want to achieve Document Transfer from OLD SOLMAN to NEW SOLMAN.

currently we have SM7.01 (AIX,oracle10) only used for document maintenance in SOLAR02 transaction.

We have now installed SM7.1 (RHEL5.6, oracle 11) & we want to migrate all project related documents from SM7.01 to SM7.1.

Please provide me your inputs on how I can achieve this.

One method I know  -- Export the source DB & import it in Target DB ( OS - Migration).

Is this the good way (export/import) to go forward?

Any other option do you think, I can use?

Please provide your valuable inputs.

Best Regards

Sachin

You can use system copy with export/import only for the same SAP system version, i.e. SM 7.01(AIX, Oracle 10) -> SM7.01(RHEL5.6, Oracle 11), but not to SM7.1(RHEL5.6, Oracle 11).

Hi SAP Fan,

I checked this link, but this is not useful for me.

I do not have documentation under any solution.

we have document in SOLAR02 transaction manually uploaded.

there are around 300 of them. so I cannot download each & upload each on new solman.

So I am looking for an approach, any report or something like that.

Thanks

Hello Sachin,

if you decide to use system copy I hope this document will be helpful:
