SAP Portal - SPP 4.5 Add-on SAR file

Browsing on SAP Support Portal I could find an upgrade link for SAP Productivity Pak 4.5.

It´s a SAR file released on Oct 5th with the title "RWD 4500 730 Add-On Upgrade". I coudn´t find any documentation about it.

Anyone could give a hint what is the purpose of this file? When should we use it?

By the way, Ancile informed us that 4.51 is ready for download. It is not up on the SMP yet due to some delay but can be access through this note for now.

Hi Matthew, thank you for your help.

I´ve been able to extract the SAR file but my doubt still remains. Inside the compact SAR file there´s a .PAT file. I´m not sure how this kind of file can be applied on SPP Server as an upgrade. I know .PAT file only for Helplaunch Pad configurations.

In the package, you should find
\\SPP_RWD_45\ANCILE_uPerform 4.5_HLPD files\HLPD files_uP 4.5_SAP_PQ
The installation/upgrade package is contained in this folder.

There you can also find the document about how to install this add-on

The RWD Help Launchpad product consists of two distinct pieces:

 An SAP ABAP transport

 A stay-on-top control that is a Microsoft® Windows executable (rwdhlp.exe)

The ABAP code determines where in the application the user is located, packages the

appropriate URL, and calls the stay-on-top control. To install the ABAP add-on to

enable Help Launchpad, refer to the SAP documentation on how to install an ABAP

add-on or refer to SAP note 848560.

Hi Edson,

There is a note refering to this for a previous release and the same applies.

Change the extension of the file from .sca to .zip and you will then be able to access the documentation.
