send email notification for aborted jobs

Hello!

Is there any way in Solution Manager to monitor Jobs from SAP System to be able to send an email notification for aborted jobs?

I tried some things with business process monitoring and job monitoring, but i cant find any way to monitor aborted jobs.

We are currently on SolMan 7.1 SP5

You don't have to setup BPM if you just want the alerts. You can setup CCMS alerting locally or centrally (ALM). There is a standard CCMS Monitor Template for Background Processing which you can use to monitor failed background jobs. There is also a standard method for sending the e-mail on failure.

Goto transaction SM30 and enter job names to be monitored in table ALBTCMON, wildcards are supported. Goto transaction RZ21 and check basic configuration. Then copy the standard method CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2 and adapt to your requirements. Finally assign the method to the monitor template in transaction RZ20.

Hi Alexander

By using BPMon or JSM(both use same infra), you can monitor aborted job and send email notification(both functions are configured for specific jobs).

When you configure the monitor choose key figure "cancel".
