New WBS Element - how to inherit user status from higher level WBS

Hi

If I create a new WBS element at say level 4, I am trying to find a way of ensuring the user status on the new WBS element is automatically set to the user status on the higher level WBS element i.e. the one at level 3, and not the default. Does anyone know how this could be achieved.

Many Thanks

Hi,

Try to use substitution in  OPSN.

there are some fields for status like RCJ_PRPSUP-PRPS_STATUS.

I havn't use it for status substitutions, but i think might be a usefull tool .

Thanks & regards,

Sam

I do think substitution of status is functionality in standard SAP

You will have to use a substitution exit

Alternatively invoke BADI WORKBREAKDOWN_UPDATE to set the status on save

Hello,

I think this is not standard, you need it. You can use the workbreakdown Badi ( at save method) to achieve your requeriment.
