The use of Statistical Currency in Global Planning Area

Dear DP Gurus,

What is the use of the parameter "Statistical Currency" in Planning area, given that some of my key figures are in USD, some in INR, some in GBP and some in AUD. i.e. the value of my demand plan is expressed in currencies of the countries that are making thier demand plan. Mine is a global demand plan box.

If and how does exchange rate type express everything in statistical currency ? What exchange rate type should I choose ?

Statistical Currency is used to indicate in what base currency will your data will be saved after conversion

Maintain the conversion Currency setting here

Then maintain the User Setting to view  the data in different currencies. These are user defined setting

The second screen shot rings bells now. Great. I saw it some days ago, forgot and then spent a day figuring out if there an be a drill down for Currency live in Planing book
