i am student in information technology at computer college ..

and i have research about SAP in Oil and Gas industries ..

i need your helps to answer my questions and give me more information about that to more understanding this topic ..

Hi Azi,

Oil and Gas is not like normal industries in terms of business, production etc..

To accommodate special requirement of Oil industry, SAP developed a solution for oil industry which

is called SAP IS-Oil here IS refers to Industry Solution. Like Oil industry there are other industries

also which are different from other normal industries example includes Media, Aerospace & Defense.

SAP Oil & Gas is industry specific solution.

Challenges with Oil Industry:

1. Oil products quantity varies depends on temperature and density unlike other physical goods.

2. Oil Prices are very fluctuating on daily basis.

3. Transportation of Oil products are too huge and need Vessel, Pipeline, Tanker, Rail Wagons

4. Many Parties involves each transaction

5. High complex business scenarios
