Hello all,
I'm a Sr. Consultant in Regular ECC Workflow, and now i'm working with SAP SRM. I want to know the differences, because in SRM it runs on WDA (i'm also a WDA consultant), i know that if i run a test workflow it goes to the SBWP inbox not the WDA inbox. I heard about webflow etc...
My questions are the technical differences and how do i send i workflow to the WDA inbox, like in ECC with the descision dialog step in SWDD...
Thanks a lot!
Joe
Hi Joe,
The basis WFL templates are the same in terms of logic . What will differ is that we have in AC WFL different WFL templates and a badi WFL for nstep and item based approval. Now for PC WFL they do have WFL templates also but the logic is done inside enhancements spots and BRF.
Also they are processed at NWBC inbox or UWL (when portal).
You can also access at service market place the SRM 7.0 WFL guide, which will help you to understand the WFL for SRM.
I hope this helps you,
Cheers,
Melina

Dear Joe,
I am only familiar with the SRM workflow, but I think there are differences.
The SRM system can use two different workflow types, the application controlled and the process controlled, but not parallel. The Process controlled workflow is released until SRM 6.
Please check the description about the application controlled workflow:

Also the WIKI side for AC workflow:

Please check the following document about the process controlled workflow:

I hope this will help you!

Hi Joe,
No difference in Workflow. Workitems come into inbox absolutely the same way.
The difference is, this workitems should not be processed via Inbox, but via UWL in Portal oder WD application in NWBC. There is a special Customizing for that.
Best Regards
Konstantin
