Avoiding Qty to be released exceeds the build qty for shop order

Hi,

I have a shop order of build qty = 4

The manufactured item has a lot size of 3.

When starting the second SFC in the POD i get the error:

"Qty to be released exceeds the build qty for shop order"

Is there a way to avoid this, besides temporarily changing lot size?

Hi Johan,

I guess you are talking about the situation when DM520 is used and a Shop Order is assigned to the Resource. Then I doubt you can get rid of this error message.

Please try the following workaround:

- in POD, sign off the first SFC;

- in SFC Qty Adjustment, decrease the qty of the first SFC to 1;

- in POD, release the second SFC of qty 3.

If a Shop Order is not much important, you can try assigning a material to the Resource instead.

The Workaround with SFC Qty adjustment works. We will use this.
