Stock posting for product XXX and location XXX is not possible

Hi,

I am uploading a stock through BAPI ' BAPI_STSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2'.

Only for one location it is giving an error message as follows :

Stock posting for product XXX and location XXX is not possible.

Have you encountered this type of problem?

Pleases suggest.

Hi,

Make sure Stock type is 11

Also use the matnr with the leading zeros.

Is your loctype correct?

for the version you can enter any value like ABC

Hi,

In ECC normally any posting is allowed if period is open.

ie  If Current period in Material Master (ECC) is 10/2012, system will not allow you to post stock in 11/2012. For this the October period has to be closed and Nov period has to be open and this will be done through MMPV tcode.

I am not sure about SCM. May be you can check in Material Master under Accounting view what is the current period.
