How to retrieve real-time data in ABAP connected to HANA?

Hello experts,

In the most CRM cases,  refresh work of monitors is done by manually clicking the refresh button somewhere to get the latest data. I'm wondering if the underlying database changed to HANA, is there any apporach to get somehow real-time figures, fully free from the manual work? Any detailed technical information would be appreciated. Thx

From a database perspective, that would be fairly possible.

The request itself would need to be handled/triggered by the application layer, though.

Of course, you could trigger an application call for refresh from the database, but that would be too specific and I'm not sure it'd a good application design approach.

I'd say you would get more feedback asking that in the CRM space, if you haven't yet.

Maybe it'd also be a good idea to paste that into the Idea Place for CRM.
