Substitute for old product

Dear Gurus,

I want to substitute an old Final product with new one..

the substitution should be done after the demand consumes the old product stock.

Further any demand on the old proudct number should directly be considered as demand for new one only.

is it possible to have this scenario in APO 3.0

Hi

The demand can be switched by the realignment process

You need to create a realignment table with a source CVC and Target CVC

Go to Demand Planning> Environment>Data Administration--> Data Realignment for the realignment program (/SAPAPO/RLGCOPY) to create the table and execute

Do you use SNP and expect the substitution to happen in APO automatically when your projected stock reaches zero. Or is it just a point in the business process when you want to realign?

This functionality is not available in APO 3.0 , Product Interchangeability is introdued from 4.0 vesrion of APO.

I have worked on this scenario for 4.0
