Upgrade Solman 7.1 SP04 to SP06

Hi Gurus,

I have Solman 7.1 SP04 (dual stack) installed and configured for monitoring.

Now i want to upgrade it to SP06 but not able to find any good Documentation for the upgrade.

i think mostly we have to used SPAM and JSPM for but still wanted to confirm.

Please let me know if anyone has done the upgrade and what changes needs to be done after the upgrade.

Hi,

Please follow SAP Note 1736166: Release Info. Note for SP06. SPAM and JSPM could be used.

Post Stack implementation you would also need to run SOLMAN_SETUP transaction again.

However few of my colleagues have report Authentication related issues while doing the SP patching via JSPM. As a solution SAP suggests to use SUM tool to apply the SP06. To be on the safer side, please use SUM.
