SAP for Insurance utilises the Business Partner functionality for its legal entities thus enabling all kinds of attributes to be recorded (such as VAT no, bank details, etc).

SAP for Insurance provides different applications for different insurance business requirements (Policy Management, Claims Management, Collections & Disbursements, Commissions Management, Reinsurance, Financial Asset Management).

Robert, thanks for your answer!

If I understood you properly, SAP for Insurance give us a possibility to make, for example, Head Office and its some affiliated companies. But affiliates are not a Business Partner for Head Office, they are a part of the common business. Does SAP for Insurance ideology supply with the same properties for internal (affiliates) and external (brokers, other insurance companies etc.) counteragents?

Hi Marina,

Yes, the concept of Business partner in SAP solutions for insurance covers both internal and external counteragents, managed with a hierarchical approach between organisational units. Each of them have own properties (VAT, bank account,...)
