Sybase Mobiliser Platform 5.1 and Sybase Brand Mobiliser 1.3 documentation is now available on Sybase Product Documentation:
Mobiliser Platform: http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?docset=/com.sybase.infocenter.help.mobiliser.platform.5....
Brand Mobiliser: http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?docset=/com.sybase.infocenter.help.sbm.1.3/title.htm&doc...
Hi Emily,
most probably the processing logic of the Infocenter has changed, the hyperlink given above doesn't work for me.
I'm using this hyperlink: http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/topic/com.sybase.infocenter.help.mobiliser.platform.5.1/doc/html/t...
I was searching for an installation guide to install Mobilizer 5.1 SP02 (Ramp-Up) - do you have any hint? I've found the regular installation guide - can I use this document or are there any additional steps for SP02?
Best regards,
Christian.

Hi Christian,
The link to Product Documentation is working now. Occassionally the site goes down.
For SP02 installation instructions, you'll need a combination of the Installation and Configuration guide and the upgrade instructions in the Release Bulletin.
If you already have 5.1 SP01 installed, then you can skip the Installation Guide and follow the upgrade instructions.
If you have trouble accessing Product Documentation, send me your email address and I will email you the documentation directly.
Regards,
Emily
Hello Emily,
thanks for the update. Unfortunately I'm afraid that the hyperlink doesn't work as expected. I've used the first hyperlink:
And this is what I get:
This is the first page of the Sybase Info-Center, my assumption is that the parameter in the hyperlink are not reckognized properly by the processing logic and therefore the first page is displayed.
The same result is returned for the second hyperlink.
I'm using Chrome Version 26.0.1410.64 m
Regards,
Christian.
Hi Christian,
I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I did see an report that the link to the Mobiliser Platform Product Documentation site wasn't working soon after I responded to your message - but it really should be working now.
I went there this morning - and here's the link to the 5.1 doc set. I will make sure the links are accurate on the Mobiliser Platform SCN pages.
If you still have problems, I will open another ticket.
Once again, very sorry for these issues,
Emily
Hi Vinay,
I have forwarded your inquiry to our development team - right now, I'm not sure what information exists that documents migrating from 4.6 to 5.1. I know that we in Knowledge Management do not have that use case documented - and are currently working on updating upgrade instructions to make sure we have all the use cases/paths covered in the future.
I will forward you any information once I hear back.
Regards,
Emily
Hi Emily,
can you check the links again, for example
they do not work for me, I have checked different browsers, it complains about redirects, no page is being displayed.
Thank you,
Robert
Hi Robert,
I'm so sorry you're having trouble accessing the Product Documentation site. I changed the links on the main Mobiliser Platform page so that they go to the highest level in the documentation set so customers can select which Mobiliser version.
For Mobiliser Platform: http://sybooks.sybase.com/sybooks/sybooks.xhtml?id=100066
For Brand Mobiliser: http://sybooks.sybase.com/sybooks/sybooks.xhtml?id=11079
Both of these links worked for me, as well as the one you posted above.
Here is also the main link to the entire site:
http://sybooks.sybase.com/sybooks/sybooks.xhtml
And then you can drill down from there.
Please tell me if you still have issues - and I will chat with IT/owners of the Prod Doc site.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Emily
Hi,
I am migrating mobiliser platform from 4.2 to 5.1. I have searched for documentation on 4.2 but couldn't find any whereas 5.1 there are ample number of documents. I am not sure if there is any migration guide available (from 4.2 to next version or so).
Can you provide me any document which gives me some info on 4.2. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi Chirravuri,
I'm part of the Knowledge Management team - we became involved in helping to document Mobiliser Platform for 5.1, and have done a little bit of 5.0 documentation. Before that, one of our services organizations handled all the Mobiliser documentation - and I suspect there isn't much information on migration from verion 4.2.
I strongly suggest you contact Technical Support for assistance.
Regards,
Emily
I could use some more information so I can help you find the correct document. We also have partner only documents posted to SAP Service Marketplace here - these were written by our developers and have the nitty gritty details you are probably looking for. You'll need the an authorized user ID to access the site - but if you were able to download the software, then you most likely have the proper credentials. Select SAP Mobile > Sybase Mobiliser Platform, then the appropriate Mobiliser Platform version:
