Hi Routima,
In my humble opinion, this is just a function of the size of your blueprint content. As your blueprint increases in content there are more structure elements for SolMan to go through when you try to filter the sub structure.
I've faced a similar issue and I've compared this against two different projects. Project A was a relatively small blueprint with 10 odd processes whereas Project B had close to 100 processes. I noticed a significant delay while SolMan churned through my blueprint structure.
I agree with Felipe, adding more grunt to your SolMan system may yield some improvements.
Cheers
Ganesh

Hi, Routima
As far as I know, this behavior is normal. This is just the system processing the information to be shown. The bigger your project structure is, the longer it will take to display it.
What may help is evaluate changing your Solution Manager to a more "powerful" server.
Kind regards,
Felipe
