HI Kadali,
Go to VN01 to change mode and create a n ew no range giving its as ex: 05 - 5000000 to 5999999 and save this range
Go to VOV8 and then go the document type for which you are getting this error and in the Number systems give this in the Number Range Internal as 05. save the document type and try creating the sales order using va01.
This will work out for sure

Hi Kadali,
pl also try this. take the help of one of your Fi consultants and then find out the documents related to CO-PA which are getting updated in your system which your are using.
You can chcek document types in OBA7
check the no assignement to these controlling documents in KANK. if required enter a new no range and do suitable assignment to the controlling documents in OBA7.
Try this and give feedback.

Hi,
You might have actived controling area in your company code got IMG - Controling - Organization - Number range
try to copy nuber ranges frm 1000 else manually assign COIN number range to your controlling area
hope it might be the problem

This means in transaction VN01 there is no number range which is defined as 01, but your sales doc type in t. code VOV8 has an entry '01' in the field 'No.range int.assgt.' (section :-Number systems)
Solution is:- maintain(or create) a number range & give it name as '01'. This will solve your problem.

Hi Srinivas,
Pls cross check the number range interval you have given at VBN1 for the sales document and the number range you have assigned at the sales document type level VOV8. they should match. further check if you have given external number range indicator at VBN1.

Ho SRinivas Kadali,
Go to VN01 and define a new no range if required. Else chcek which rangeis free
Go to VOV8 select the document types to which you want to assign new no range and Go to Number systems in sales doc type config and assign the new range either internal/external the way you want and save the doc type
Create sales order now.
