Dear all,
We are migrating few of SAP systems from HP UX to Linux.
However, for production systems we are not able to do any testing since those are very very critical systems and customer is not affordable for any downtime as well as DB size is of more than 10 TB. This requires very long downtime ( atleast of 12 hours )
Hence we have copied the contents of Production to a testing system and performed few test migration.
I am not aware whether this procedure is acceptable. As well as I heard that during the request of migration key, we (customer) accept that we have tested the migration production.
In our case, does SAP provides support in case of any critical issues during real Live migration ? Kindly advise.
Thanks and Regards,
Vimal

Copy the prod to new system and perform the migration as rehearsal as this will give you an idea of downtime and any issues during the migration.

If the issue is during the migration and system performance you can raise P1 for production. Have you scheduled the go-live verification analysis session from SAP? There is also some kind of session SAP offer to reduce the downtime. Contact your SAP delivery manager s(he) will should help you on this.
