Error 0xffffffff during Connection when printing

Hi there,

we have a problem with printing from our SAP systems here. I was not able to identify the cause.

This problem happens spontaniously since today. this never happened before.

We use Netweaver 701 (with Kernel 720) and an external Hostspoolsystem (VPSX).

So the problem is, that nobody can print on single SAP systems for a while.

The outputrequest shows the following error:

Status: Incorrect (Error sending data)

Area: Data transfer

Error: Job refused by host spooler

Info: Error 0xffffffff during Connection. pRC=0x6e sRC=0

The dev_w35 log in the work directory shows this:

S Wed Nov  7 08:30:16 2012

S  Hostspooler error message: area 4 message Error 0xffffffff during Connection. pRC=0x6e sRC=0x0

I didn t find anything on the OSS search. Google didnt help either.

Does anyone know this kind of error?

Hi,

As per SAP note 502604, this indicates an error on the OMS partner side. The error indicates that the spool job is refused by the OMS.

Error: Job refused by host spooler

Info: Error 0xffffffff during Connection. pRC=0x6e sRC=0

You should investigate with the OMS vendor whet this error 'Error 0xffffffff during Connection. pRC=0x6e sRC=0' means.
