HI all,
I have an scenario where I'm putting a file in a FTP.
The client has give me a FTP user with no Password, and then I get a login error.
There is no way to use User without pass?
I dont want to say Anonimous login, but USER WITH NO PASS.
Thanks
Urtzi.
Hi Urtzi,
Are you getting the error at FTP server or in SAP PI channel?
You may want to use a third party FTP software to first test log-in to the server with just an user id and without a password.
Once that is possible, you can try this for eg:
User: Test
Password: Enter a dummy password in both the fields (a space or something) and then delete them. It might work; at-least it is not throwing any errors while checking the channel (F7).
Best luck,
V J

Hi Urtzi,
That goes on to suggest that either there is a password too with the user-id given by your client and you need to confirm it with them OR
There are not enough authorization on the user id, which I doubt. At times, when we have something called static user ids, which are only used to connect any ftp servers through file communication channels, even they have passwords and static means their password will never change.
Waiting for more inputs from you once you have a word with your client.
Best luck,
V J
