Hi all,

I got a problem while starting sap from os level in unix when i put command startsap it prompts error message that .profile not found.But i found it is in run folder.Any suggestion

Did you check for the .profile in your home directory? /home/[SID]adm

Yes I had check my home directory /home/[SID]adm ,and .profile is there ,

the problem get solved when i set the environment variables,but when i close the session

(Linux session),it again shows the same error.

looking forward for response.

Hi Mohammed,

The environment variables are not properly set or it is not getting saved. It is always recommended to set the environment variables at the point before the installation is started. Since the environment variables are being called at the pont of installation.

You can have the variables set and you can work but when you close the session and when relogin you need to set the variables once again and then use it, it should work.
