Former Member

Hi All,

We have a tcode in R/3 that displays an adobe form with some input parameters.

Now, for certain input parameters the labels of the form should cme in chinese characters - Its working perfectly fine in R/3.

But on portal the chinese characters are not coming properly, instead some garbage characters are shown.

Can you please tell me what are we missing here ?

Thanks in advance,

Sattam

Hi Sattam,

Is the label on the screen or in the PDF?

Are you calling a transaction iView? Is it using the ITSs' WEBGUI service via the Portal?

What is the BASIS and Kernel Version of the R/3? And is it Unicode/Non-Unicode?

Hi Oisin,

Thanks for your reply.

The labels are in the PDF. We are using a transaction iview that uses the ITS Webgui service.

The Kernel is of release 720 and support package level 46 and its Unicode.

Sattam.

Hi Sattam,

What Function Module do you use to generate the PDF?

Is the transaction you are calling an SAP transaction or a customised version of such a transaction?

Also since when has this issue appeared? Or has it always been this way?

Following notes maybe useful:

Hi Oisin,

Thanks a lot for your help. There was something missing in device properties, which was adjusted by the basis person and its fine now.
