Hi Team,
In our production PI server, FTP sender channel stopped polling on
friday evening at around 2:13PM MDT due to which the payment
confirmation message or file was not picked from the application folder
which delayed the process of sending the same to the customer. We have
restarted(stopped and started) the communication channel from
communication channel monitoring and it started working. The file was
picked up at 7:49 PM MDT and sent to the customer.
Any clue on the root cause for this issue and also the way to
avoid it from occuring again.
Thanks,
Somya
Hi,
2 reasons. I also have faced sometimes back.
1) You Communication channel might have locked in NWA.
2) Some file permission might have been missing.

Hi Veeru,
1. Please let us know how to check if communication channel is locked . Since we reastarted the communication channel , it has got resolved now so will the communication channel be shown as locked now? Please tell the path to check the same and how to check that.
2.Which file permissions are necessary for the same. And on which file we need to check those permissions and how to check . Please revert.
Thanks,
Somya
Hi Somya,
There is an error related to this in SAP standard. Check the following SAP Notes for possible solutions:
Note 1083488 - XI FTP/JDBC sender channel stop polling indefinitely(04/04S)
Note 1687688 - FTP sender channel stops polling
