Approval process at GI

Hi Experts,

Please tell me, can we make a approval process for goods issue of a material in SAP.

Hi Pankaj,

As already replied by Manoj & Ashok, it can't be achieved with standard SAP.

Alternatively you can follow the steps suggested by Rupesh in below link.

In Sap Some issue resolved by enhancment and ABAP programme if it is same kind of feature is not available Standard SAP.

your issue is fully related to the Process issue and it can be resolved through defined better Sap process.

Please use reservation concept as below.

1)Without reservation Good issue is not possible.

2)Once reservation is created, trigger a workflow mail to the concern person. So chain loop perosn is aware of the perticular reservation

3)then Good issue with reference to reservation no.

Note:- For Goods issue release strategy concept is not possible.

If you want to restrict goods issue for material,then do create resevation for material with t.code:MB21

and then allow goods issue for material WRT resevation number in t.code:MB1A or MIGO

Approval process for GI in standard SAP is not available as for purchasing documents. It can be controlled through authorizations of inventory transactions for your requirement as advised by Manoj and Ashok.

There is no release strategy provided for the Inventory management functions.

You can control the Inventory functions through Basis authorization as per your requirement.

In SAP MM, you have release procedure for the following:

PR

RFQ

PO

Outline Agreements

Service Entry Sheet

In MM Inventory Management does not have approval procedure but can be achieved through Authorizations and restrictions to transactions.

If you have MM-Supplier Self Service implemented then you can have Approval for Confirmations (Goods Receipt). In all other cases it is not available.
