Change Context of a field using NWDS

Hello SDNers,

I am using NWDS for creating a message map, I want to understand how to change the context of a field using NWDS, I know this is really straight forward when we want to change the context of a field using the JAVA Webstart.

Kindly help me achieve this using NWDS.

Hi,

>>> I want to understand how to change the context of a field using NWDS,

just got the info (and saw that) this will be supported from SP6 of 7.31

(along with graphical mappings - just like in swing client)

Hi,

Hi Michal,

I did manage to get my hands on the SP06 version that supports graphical mapping via NWDS. I have shared my experience here

Hi,

the easy way to find such things - open the mapping in java webstart - do the function you need - save/activate and open in NWDS

BTW

I still work in java webstart but this is the way I'd go in case of any issues,

Hi Michal,

Thanks for the response, that's what I am doing right now (i.e. changing the context using Java webstart), I wanted to check if SAP has provided a functionality to do the context change via NWDS as this is a very basic feature used lot of times in the message mappings that we develop.

Hello SDNers,

The feature is not yet supported. Context change would have to be achieved using Node Functions.

Please check WIlliam Li's response to my query in the comment section of this blog
