Hi,

We would like to switch on our Sol Man 7.01 the Java IBM SDK from 1.4.2 to the SAPJVM4. I used the newest files from SMP.

The pre-reguesites were fullfilled, during the sapinst Switch process an error occurred, which we could not point 100% to the source.

The File was SAPJVMSWITCH00P_9-20008217 from SMP, replaced with this one,SAPJVMSWITCH00P_10-20008217 and tryed it also.

The error occured in step  message sapcpe auf die file table ** INFO: Try to find file table sapcpeft (default:sapcpeft)

** INFO: Try to find file table in the central directory /usr/sap/SOL/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64/sapjvm_4.1.024/sapcpeft

** INFO: not found any file table.

Trace level (profile): 1

working only on the File-List /usr/sap/SOL/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64/sapjvm_4.1.024/sapjvm_4.lst

** INFO:    Try to find file table sapcpeft (default:sapcpeft)

** INFO:    Try to find file table in the central directory /usr/sap/SOL/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64/sapjvm_4.1.024/sapcpeft

** INFO:    not found any file table.

  • sapcpe version is up and there and the newest 7.20 version
  • sacpeft was there ( Filled Table) file
  • Test solution copy from SYS/exe/run to /DVEBMGS66/exe for

*************************************************

source: /usr/sap/SOL/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64/sapjvm_4.1.024

target: /usr/sap/SOL/DVEBMGS66/exe

*************************************************

But why the error occurs here??: Look at the part from the sapcpe_sapinst.log file:

Files scanned......:   738  337.31 MB

Where is the installation error/problem?

The call can be closed. A request to the SCN here, has shown for days nothing. NO, the settings for DIR_CTRUN and DIR_EXECUTABLE were right, the easy source was the sapinst (Auth.) to access the instance profile for SAPJVM4 switch. I have set the Auth. from 644 to 777 full access to the instanceprofile and so then the installation runs through, the sapinst tool recognized no further problems. FIN!
