mail notification to be sent to supplier when lot is rejected

Dear All,

Please throw your guidance for the current topic. This is my requirement where mail notification will be sent to supplier automatically/ manually when a lot is rejected. now to speak i have tried using creating notifications trying to use sap standard process. Am i missing any other way of doing it as i am new  to QM .

Can it be done automatically or any development is required?

There is one std way of doing it ,directly from the UD code itself.

In the selected set of UD ,you can enter followup action "Mail" in the customization ( QS51)

You can customize your own  Z- function module & attach the same in the followup action.
