Dear Friends,
Require your assistance in understanding my queries below-
I have 4 activities –
Internal activity – I have planned material for this, hence PR generated by system
External activity – I have service for this, hence PR generated by system
Service activity - I have entered activity plan (priced in CO), hence I have some planned cost for this too
Cost activity – I have directly entered (planned) some costs in the ‘Amount’ tab of this activity and hence it is too have some planned cost
Now my queries –
A. A. If you look at all 4 activities, they have some planned cost, would these costs are apart /extra when compared to the total cost plan of the WBS (done via cj40 /IM) if yes, how these costs would be monitored?
B. B. I believe, all the above costs are planned against to cost elements, is it correct?
C. C. Is there any report which shows all the 4 values of above activities in a single t-code /screen?
D. D. Any other must know info about planned costs of above activities?
Thank you,
Sumanth
Hi sumanth,
Apart of above OPSV is the T-code where order category 20 for NW, here check mark in Addit =
(appended plan update) & assigned funds in plant as well.
you can see cost planing in any structure report as cns41 cn41 cn41n & s_alr....... etc.

Sanjeev

Dear friends,
Sincere apologies for delay in responding.
Appreciate all your inputs for my queries and they really make sense.
Also, I wanted to know one more thing about booking expenses /charging cost to WBS elements. As you all know, we can book costs against to a WBS, for procurement activities, vendor invoice, time sheets, Orders, etc.. but, I wanted to know are there any other cross module activities via which we can book expenses to a WBS element?
Hope, I m making sense.
Regards,
Sumanth

Apart or extra, depends on OPSV setting as indicated by Sudhakar.
I believe, all the above costs are planned against to cost elements, is it correct?
Yes, cost planned at network activity level will have cost element information.
Is there any report which shows all the 4 values of above activities in a single t-code /screen?
If you want only the cost against each activity then access structure reports, if you want cost element information along wtih activity then access cost element wise reports.

Even in CJ40 you can see the costs you have planned against the network activities. Check "Order/ Network" column in CJ40. That'll will have the planned cost of your project's network activities.

Hi,
As you said all these network actitivities also contribute project cost plan.
you have an option either exclude or include your network activity cost plan in total cost plan.
In configuration depending on check or uncheck of "appended" - planned costs it will add up at project level. (sorry i forgot the path as i am away from system)
What I mean if you wanted to plan costs at WBS and also at NWA. in that scenario you do not want to see NWA costs are added into WBS costs then you will not select the appended cost in configuration or
you can plan portion of plan cost amount at WBS and then remaining cost plan through NWA then you select the check box appended in planned cost configuration.
You can see planned and actual costs in CN41N report.
Here you go with Config path:
SPRO>Project Systems>Costs>Planned Costs>Define Order value updating for Projects.
Once you are on the that screen, Category 20 select the check box Addi or uncheck. This point will decide whether to append (add) or not to add order cost plan to WBS elements.
Hope this makes sense.
Regards,
Sudhakar
