Technical Monitoring - monitoring hawrdware

Hi all

My customer wants to monitor all hardware in Solution Manager - Technical monitoring.

The hardware has own software e.g. HP hardware.

So my question is: is there posibility to integrate this software with Solman? to echange of hardware monitoring from third party software.

For now i found that this can be possible by API's and SNMP Data Exchange With Third-Party Tools.

I need some direction from what to start to ...

Have you considered logfile monitoring?

This might do the trick (a bit easier).

I  assume your local HP software generates log files, create custom metrics for these log files.
