Delivery schedules

Hi Experts,

Can we maintain delivery Schedules in standard order (OR) like what we have in Scheduling agreement VA31?

We need to have only delivery schedules in the order and we create billing with ref to Order. Products need to be delivered based on Delivery schedules.

Our client does not want to go for another transaction code and seeking to implement them in standard order only. Is it possible?

If so, Can you please advise, what are all the configurations need to be done

Thanks in advance.

Hi Hk ,

As Laxmi and Naren Mentioned, the ideal solution is to use scheduling agreement. If your client really needs only VA01 to maintain, then you have to use the sales order as scheduling agreement.

Maintain all the schedules at schedule line level for Order Type OR. Make sure that the item category is of free of charge because you mentioned that you are going to bill with reference to Sales Order.

For Billing, you can use billing plan.

Hi Vinu,

Thank you for your valuble suggestion.

We wanted to delivery the products on weekly/Monthly basis. Delivery dates should place in the order by-default. Are there any settings like we maintain for Periodic billing.

Kindly advise here.

Thank you.

Hi hk ,

Can you explain in details about the content "Delivery Dates should place in the order by default". Delivery date has to be maintained manually.

Refer standard Item Category "MVN" for periodic billing. It has to be handled as a different line item in the sales order.

Hi Vinu,

We sell the books and Magazines on weekly basis. If customer opt for weekely/Monthly basis, delivery dates has to be placed in the delivery schedule automatically and delivery the products to Customer.

I hope, you got my point here.

Thank you.

Hi Hk ,

When you maintain the delivery schedules, you can maintain whether you need weekly/monthly based on the date type. But it is not possible for automation of the schedule lines. It has to be maintained manually unless you develop z program to update it automatically.

In SO, use item availbility check icon. If you need to split delivery, under Dely proposal, key in the different delivery dates and qty required for the item.

Under Item Data Schedule Line, click on Fixed date and Qty.

Doing so will fix the delivery scehdule.

Alternative method, use Fixed Customer Calendar.

In customer master, General Data, there is a tab unloading point and Calendar. You can set a calendar to say always deliver on Monday. SO schedule delivery date will then follow this schedule.

Why do you want to create order ?  You can very well follow the process from Scheduling Agreement itself.

Dear Lakshmipathi,

Client does not want to go for another transaction code to create scheduling agreement. We are exploring if we can deliver the products based on delivery schedule within standard order. Please advise here.

Thank you.

HI ,

Look mister K as Lakshmipathi sir said as proceed with Scheduling Agreement with itself  is good for you to explore delivery schedules in scheduling agreement rather than to take risky maintains of delivery schedules in standard order .

Suggestion : My suggestion is go for Scheduling Agreement Process. Please put whatever you have any thoughts on this scenario to go easily trace delivery schedule lines . Please convince your client to go for SA process.

Thanks ,
