Dear community,
The standard button SAP Business Objects explorer has been configured to bi ondemand as mentioned in the config document. Has anyone tried overriding this setting in config to point to a custom BO explorer environment?. Setting up a RFC destination in sm59 to the new url and overriding the the settings in the configuration doesnt seem to make any difference since the button still launches the bi.ondemand.com
Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
V
Is there a way to hide the BO Explorer and other things?

Yes, you can handle this under the launch pad config by setting the application inactive for the relevant launch pad role. For eg, in the screenshot i moved the BO explorer application to the inactive applications node for the item dashboard launch pad role RPM_RIH. This will hide the BO explorer button. You can hide other applications the same way at the items or cProjects level. Hope this helps.
Hi V,
the configuration for setting up the integration between PPM and a Explorer system is described in the configuration guide (which you can find attached to note 1411953 https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1411953 ). Chapter "Making Settings for SAP BusinessObjects Explorer" describes the required steps.
If you are using a local installation of BO explorer, some setting within a BAdi are necessary, there is a example implementation for that. Details can be found in not 1626855 (https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1626855). Please check that note 1160362 needs to be implemented in your system.
Regards, Andrea
