iOS on SUP

Former Member

Very new and a bit confused.

I would like to know how to get the iOS simulator, both iPhone (4&5) and iPad for the SUP Server.

If someone could direct me to a step-by-step instruction, I would be very grateful.

Best regards

Jorgen

The simulators for iOS are part of the Apple xCode install on Mac. You can get this for free, if you are part of the Apple Developer Program, or via the Apple Mac App Store for a slight cost, I believe

Hi Ian

Yes I know that, but if I want to run a mobile app that I'm making in the SUP, how do I do?

Do I have to export the code and run it in Xcode?

Thanks

Cool...What sort of app are you creating? Native iOS/Obj-C or Hybrid Web Container (HWC)?

Thanks

We're starting out as a HWC, but probably has to go native at end for UI.

The app will be rolled out for all the devices, so we try to stay in one environment as long as possible. Hence I would like to see it on iOS in the SUP space.

Thanks

Hi Jorgen,

You can also develop native online apps with SUP2.1.x -ODP.

You can find more details on ODP @ http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.infocenter.dc01702.0210/doc/html/nkr13...

If you are interested in trying a simple app and register with SUP, here is the step by step guide.

Hi Rohith

I have a SUP that I'm trying to learn how to make mobile apps on. Right now looking and following tutorials.

But I would like to see what I'm making on my iPad.

I downloaded Workflow for the iPad. Entered my server ip, Port, Farm, User Name, Activation code in the system settings. I have deployed the workflow successfully on the SUP, but it doesn't show up on the iPad. My User Name still is Pending.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Assuming  Sybase Uniwired Platform development environment is ready with a sample application to deploy on the work flow conatiner. The next step would be deploying app on the HWC container, please follow the

Hi

Thank you for your help. Just got the iPad to register and see the workflow.

Have a ne problem that you might be able to throw some light on.

When clicking on the workflow we get an error "The number of registered devices has reached the maximum limit."

I can see 10 devices in the Control Centre. We are four developers and we use a couple of devices each. I'm on an Android simulator, iPad and iPhone. So the devices get taken up quickly.

How do we get more devices allowed?
