SCM REM and DI system

Hi APO Gurus,

I am trying to simulate REM in PPDS and got stuck. We are using SCM4.0

and R/3 4.7. Also, when i go through SAP help I found many time it is refering to DI system. what should I do to transfer master data from DI system. Or to start iPPE in R/3. Need your help.
