Dear experts,
I would like your help to clarify some doubts about harmonized roles.
1) What is the difference between harmonized roles and the "link to ECC documents" feature?
As per SRM 7.0 EHP 1, it is possible to get access to backend documents directly from the tracking tab of the procurement document (e.g. Shopping Cart). I have followed all the configuration steps provided in the following link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm701/helpdata/en/6a/3747e682ca4ef388b0c9565401a471/frameset.htm
but links are not working. Any ideas?
2) Are there any limitations when using SAP SRM 7 OneClient on SAP ECC 6 with NWBC?
As per release note for EHP1, it seems that harmonized roles do not work when using NWBC. When reading SAP note 1476447 though, it seems that harmonized roles work also with NWBC but in that case it is not possible to navigate to a second level (better said, it is not possible, for instance, from the detail page of the PO, jump into another view (e.g. Goods Receipt view)).
Please, share with me your experience on that regard.
Thank you.
Giovanni
Hi Giovanni,
Please check the following settings:
SPRO -> SAP Implementation Guide -> SAP Supplier Relationship Management
-> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define System Landscape.
a. Please take into consideration that your ERP should be customized
in System Landscape as ERP_4.0 or higher.
b. Business suite should be connected. This means, in the system
landscape you should set the flag Integrated UI to the SRM local
logical system.
c. You need to maintain a system with the alias SAP_ERP_Procurement.
Please see your system objects and their aliases.
You need to create a system object on your portal the connection to that
ABAP system should be working.
Then you assign it the system Alias SAP_ERP_Procurement.
Best regards,
Ivy

Hi Nishanth,
If you are using NWBC instead of portal, please check the following points:
Go to SPRO
-> SAP Supplier Relationship Management
-> SRM Server > Technical Basic Settings
-> Define System Landscape
1, Check if you have set the "System Alias f. POWL navigation" for your
ECC. Please notice this 'Alias' is the same you have maintained in
'System Administration' in your portal. The path to check this in your
portal is 'System Administration' -> 'System Landscape' -> 'System
Configuration' -> 'Systems', there you can see the 'Alias' for your
systems.
2, click 'intergrated UI' for only target ECC system.
3, click 'BS_connected' for ECC systems.
BR,
Ivy
Hi Ivy
Thanks
I'd like to know more if these are all the above tasks in using the harmonized roles in SRM?
Do we have to make sure that the user also have correct auth in ECC side to access the documents in ECC?
I just tested the standard ERP/SRM roles in our SRM7.13 and they seem not ready to use unlike the local SRM roles (non-harmonized roles). So i need to know the list of tasks for using these harmonized roles. Appreciate your help as always.
Hi Giovanni,
Did you ever get a definitive answer regarding using the harmonized roles in NWBC? I have the same question regarding why this doesn't work.
Thanks,
Simon

Hi,
Even though Note 1476447 says there could be limitation on further navigtion.
But technically it should be possible.
I chcked the code and they directly launch BO from Harmonized powl by opening instance of ECC system. Once ECC system is opened, it should behave the same way as SAP GUI.
I opened a Purchase order and from there i Opened Invoice, confirmation , i opened other transaction as well.
So i deally it should work. Let me know if you have a case where it did not worked.
Regards,
Ram
