How to define a Matching Field

I have a need to define a field as a matching field, but cannot figure out how it is done. Although the field is mapped, it does not appear in the list of potential matching fields. In fact only one field appears there.

How can I define a field as a matching field so that it appears as a candidate in the matching Fields window?

Hi Anthony,

As suggested in the earlier post, you need to check the Data Type of the destination field, which you want to use as Matching field. If the Data type falls in the categories mentioned on right hand side, then you would not be able to use that field as Matching field and you might need to use some workaround.

If the required field falls under the categories mentioned on Left hand side, and still that field is not appearing in the available matching fields list, them you need to check if any of the condition mentioned under the table is not violated.

You can check Import Manager Reference guide, Section "Matching Records" for more details in this topic. Please let us know if you find the issue using this information.

Thanks and Regards,
