multi-level bom explosion in production order

Hello everybody,

Maybe someone can help me with this:

We create production orders for material variants directly in co01. As we are working with collective orders (sobsl 52) the bom of the variant is been exploded to all levels and available in production order. The material variant itself has no bom, but it is assigned with cs40. As we are now implementing SCM we can not use collective orders any more. But without usage of collective orders multi-level bom explosion in production order does not work. Did somebody encounter the same problem? We want to find a way to have a multi-level bom explosion in production order for material variants without own bom and without usage of collective orders. Any input will be much appreciated.

The kind of relationship a collective order establish is not available using any other strategy.

Multilevel BOM explosion is possible using other strategy type too for example strategy 20 , but as i mention the one to one relationship with lower level items and a collective display of requirement is not supported.

Appreciate if you can explain , why display of this requirement in collective way is essential for your business , may be some work around can be suggested.
