Error during system copy of solution manager using migration based copy

Former Member

There has been a failure with the solution manager that it stopped
working.
So I've decided to restore the backup after uninstalling the falty one.
The backup was taken using standard SAP sapinst -> system copy ->
source system -> technique (before the system failure for sure)

Now during the system copy on the phase of start instance ( even after
the imports are successful ) the instance is started but the dispatcher
gets stopped.

I've attached the sapinst_dev.log from the sapinst directory and the
dev_disp from the work directory.

P.S: I've tried replacing the kernel with some other versions of kernel
7.20 with no use.

Thanks

Ahmed

Thanks for your support, but the issue was resolved by applying the newest kernal patch, and there was also a service of the ITS (agate) running on port 3900, which was killed manually and everything is running now.

using sidadm, run disp+work after kernel patching, the version that displayed, is it in match with the version of kernel that you applied? ( this is to make sure the kernel is correctly copied by sapcpe )

using sapcar -tvf to kernel package, does it give error output message? ( to verify nothing wrong with the packages )

I ran disp+work and it outputs the version and the supported environment which are right.

and I've tried 3 kernel versions and all give the same output, so I guess the problem is not in the kernel version.

It says

***LOG Q1K=> MsIAttachEx: StoC check failed, Kernel not compatible with system (rc=-100) [msxxi.c      817]

in the Dispatcher Log. lease update the kernel and try to open system again.

Is there any dev_w* log created? Attach one of them if exists.

I've attached it now.

It looks like there is a MS connection problem. Can you also attach the stderr* files?

which stderr files you're asking for, the ones in the ABAP work directory or the ones in the JAVA work directory.
