MM Period needed to be open while running controlling month end.

HI SAP GURUs,

While I run month end process in Controlling, 1st I close the MM period (with previous period allowed) then I run the settlement. I did not get any error before. but this month the system is asking for need to open the MM period while settlement run. Untill unless I open the MM period it is not allowing for posting. the most important part of is, It is asking for few orders not for all. So please any one can suggest me why it happened this month?

Hi, This IS Due to Wip posted in previous period related to the orders. This month while you are doing settelment needs to be reversed Once the product is completed. So sytem giving the error even though you over come this by giving the opening period in the posting period column in KODD/CODD screen. The thing  is postings will be happened in the period which you have given ih the posting period column. Regards, Ram
