Hello Everybody,
My company is equiped with SAP and differents cad systems (Sw, Nx, AutoCAD).
We are currently thinking of a PDM solution to host all the CAD datas.
Because I worked in an another company equipped with a PDM Solution (Teamcenter), I know that some capabilities like renaming objects, Making partial copy of CAD structure, handling Family tables properly are key points for PDM.
I was wondering if SAP/PLM Integrated solutions can really do the basic stuff of PDM (Renaming, Copying, Family tables ...) ?
Any experience on this subject will be appreciated.
Thanks
JB

Hello,
As a SAP/PLM integrator in France, we worked for many years on SAP/PLM projects with various CAD Integrations.
SAP/PLM offers all the functionnalities of a PDM and much more due to the full integration with all processes of the companies.
SAP CAD direct integration solutions are sold and maintained by SAP, but they are developped by specialized CAD partner, to offer the best tools for each CAD systems.
As a SAP customer, I think that you should investigate the solution, and at least request for a presentation and a demonstration.
Don't hesitate to request me more details if needed.
Best regards
Nathalie
