Change Request number should be generated only while saving the request

Hi,

I have a query regarding change request number generation. I have noticed that as soon as i click "create change request" , it generates a new number.

Is there any option to generate the number only when someone save the request ?

Unnecessarily the numbers are generated and getting wasted without any data.

Hi Kuna,

I don't think you will be able to create the number when you are saving.. by default it's the standard behaviour and when you save it .. it has to store the details in some of the tables with reference to the number..
