Upgrade EP to NW7.31 Mopz proplem "Multiple component versions exist for system"

Hi All,
I followed the instructions in WIki  http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERP6/SAP+Netweaver+7.3x+hub+systems+upgrade?focusedCommentId=31...   and updated the ERP package and contents to be EHP4 for ERP 6.00 , in order to be able to update our ESS/MSS portal to nw7.31 , our EP system is NW7.00 SPs 16.

The ERP BP components has been updated to be:
BP_ERP5ASS 1.0 sp 17 -  BP_ERP5COM 1.41 sp 6 -  BP_ERP5ESS  1.41 sp6 -
BP_ERP5MSS 1.41 sp 6 - SAPPCUI_GP 603 sp6  - SAP_ESS 603 sp 6 - SAP_MSS 600 sp17-
LSOCP 604  sp7

I defined the EPE system as following in Solman:

In LMDB , if  I run the verification tool , it gives me the following errors:

- Cannot  recognize product instance EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 - Portal Content
- Cannot  recognize product instance EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 - SAP XSS (Self  Services)

I ignored the above errors in LMDB.

Now I'm not able to generate the XML file, because I'm getting error in Mopz as following :

There is no OS/DB dependent  file.

Message no. MOPZ_MSG_DELTA_CALC005

According to Note  1756101 this error is due to multiple component version for the same software component
being  present in LMDB.

Can you help me , what mistake/missing i did while defining the system in solman?

Hello Sherif,

please execute the Landscape Verification Checks of LMDB as described in the Maintenance Planing Guide (https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700000639422012E/MaintPlan_Guide_71_SP05.pdf) - Chapter 3.4.2

If the Landscape Verification states errors in system configuration follow the actions recommended, please.

Thanks for your reply, your reply was helpful , i run the verification tool and make it green it helped me to resolve the above issue.

I have another question:

is there any limitation to do upgrade from EP 7.00 sps 16 to NW 7.31 SPs 04?

our EP system is maily used for ESS/MSS  and the following ERP BP package are installed:

BP_ERP5ASS 1.0 sp 17 -  BP_ERP5COM 1.41 sp 6 -  BP_ERP5ESS  1.41 sp6 -
BP_ERP5MSS 1.41 sp 6 - SAPPCUI_GP 603 sp6  - SAP_ESS 603 sp 6 - SAP_MSS 600 sp17-
LSOCP 604  sp7

according to SAP upgrade guide we can do the upgrade in one shot [ from 7.00 to 7.31]

but someone told me not possible and minimum version should be 7.01.

Hi Sherif

You can execute the upgrade in one step directly to 7.31, keep in mind that ALL the Portal Content Components are installed at least with EHP4.

thanks for your reply, i  agree with your opinion regarding upgrade in one shot !!!

but SAP support saying that I have to upgrade to 7.01 first then from 7.01 to 7.31

really i don't know what should i do?

we have a similar scenario, but we're upgrading from NW 7.01 to 7.31, did you finallly upgrade your system, if so what did you do?
