Whether WM can be deactivated for a material

Once the material is activated with warehouse management, can we remove ware house management. What is the steps to remove the ware house management activation.

What I did in a similar scenario , was to transfer the material to a storage location not managed by WM.

You can set the deletion flag at WM level through MM07

Further you may archive it.

Hi,

If you don't wanted to use the WM functionality for a material, you can block the WM functions using block indicator.

Define a block indicator in SPRO under IMG-> Logistics general->Material master-> settings for key fields-> Define material statuses.

Keep blank values in all the tabs and assign value 'B' in WM in the above setting. Then assign this blocking indicator in plant specific material status field of MRP1 viewin the material master.

Dear Padmanaban ,

I doubt whether views can be deleted once created , but WM relevancy is depended on storage location .

Activation or deactivation of these link will decide whether material is WM relevant or not.
