NWCE 73 Trial: Corrupt Tars in ISO?

I would like to know more about NW CE 7.3 and therefor downloaded the trial.

Setup was rather straigth forward but starting SAP didn't work.

I've got the VMware working but i discovered that the Tars inside the ISO are corrupt.

These tars can be found in the SAPNWCE73_v32.iso => arch\tar.bz2\x86_64

Especially usr_sap.tar.bz2 doesn't extract the /usr/sap/CES/J00/j2ee directory.

Note: its is not the RAR that is corrupt. Just the tar's inside the ISO.

Does anyone else experiences this when trying to install the trial?

a lot of people have installed the trial and it worked. I recommend to retry your download.

Hi Benny,

Thanks for you're suggestion. I have managed to solve it.

The problem was i did not have enough RAM to run the Virtual Machine on my home XP machine so i converted it to my ESX test server and the tried to install SAP from there. This resulted in the for mentioned problems.

The Solution was to "borrow" a fast Win7 machine with a lot of RAM to run the Virtual Machine, Install SAP and then convert it to my ESX test server.

Sorry for the inconvenience and confusion.
