Purchasing extractor in SPM

Hello,

We are implementing  SPM Project for one of our retail client and have installed the SPM extractor kit as per the guidelines .

At the time of analyzing the Purchase order extractor,  it seem it has very less fields than what we get from logistic purchase order extractor .

Can we use the logistic purchase order extractor kit than standard SPM PO  ?  Do we have any impact if we use other extractor ?

Thanks.

you can enhance the SPM extractor with all the fields you want and from different tables assuming that you can declare a relation ship between them. But that is not the solution. What you need to understand is that SPM is a Analytical tool and NOT a Operational reporting solution. For operational level reporting may be you should be looking at standard BW solution.

And bear in mind that the SPM extractors are not as efficient as standard extractors in terms of performance, the more joins you keep adding to the extractor the worse the extraction performance gets. And keep an eye on the exclusion, the more again the extraction performance is negatively affected. And change the data package to minimal - as per Divyesh SAP developer the optimum size for transaction data is 1000 and master data 3000.

I'm sure you would have figured all this out by now, as this question was posed long back
