Hello,

For Source inspection  materials , instead of creating inspection lots with reference to a Purchase Order in QI07 for creating Inspection type 0104, is there any steps for creating inspection type 0104 automatically, whenever GR is done for the materials with reference to a PO, both inspection type's 01 and 0104 should get created automatically. Kindly provide your valuable solutions. Kindly solve the issue

Hi J.Balakrishnan,

For source inspection, you can not create inspection lot automatically, it has to get trigger through QI07 only with the combination of material, vendor data, plant and date data.

Only way is you can schedule the background job so that based on delivery date inspection lots should get created for source inspection for the combination of material, plant and vendor.

Please refer below statement from SAP HELP link as given below and details

Triggering Source Inspections Manually

You can manually generate a list of materials that are defined for a source inspection. If you want to use the same selection criteria more than once, you can define a report variant. For information about how to trigger source inspections manually, see   Triggering Source Inspections Manually.

Job Planning and Execution

You can use the job planning and execution functions to trigger a source inspection automatically at predefined intervals.

Best regards,

Sharat

What sense would it make creating source inspections at the point of GR? It is too late then to do a source inspection. I suggest you take a look at the definition and usage scenarios of SI to get a better overview of this process.
