Hi,

check relationship is maintained for all activities in existing structure. once you maintained those then directly you can schedule activity by CLT F9 commend.

Basically loop issue come due to not maintain proper relationship between activities.

Hi,

is there sub-networks involved, which typically cause the unwanted cycle. As far as I remeber, you can enter the main-networks and then include sub-networks.  And ussing select all to select alls the nodes in network-view.. Somewhere in the menu there is option to let the 'hidden' relationships generated. Then do the loop analysis again.

Genearlly do not maintain any manuall relationships between main-activity and activites in sub-nets.

Kind regards,

Zhenbo

Hi Zhenbo,

Thanks for your response .

I have checked and found sub network is available and whenever we are giving the relationship between network and sub network getting the message "Network contains loops and cannot be scheduled".

Please guide me how to correct this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

as I said before, DONOT maintain any relationships between activity of main-network and activity of sub-network.

The program will automatically generate relationships according some rules for sub-network during the scheduling.

As I remember the rule are following:

Every relationship the main-activity has, on which the main-activity is the sucessor, then each activities of the sub-networks without predecessor copy this relationship.

The anlog logic for the main-activity is the predecessor of a relationship.

It sounds complicated, but you take some time to think about, it makes sense.

Kind regards,

Zhenbo

Hi,

    Kindly Follow the given path and let us know if it worked;

  1. Call up the network structure graphic.
  2. Select the menu options Edit -> Functions -> Loop analysis -> Execute.
The relationships causing the loop are highlighted.
  1. Choose new relationships between activities so the loop no longer exists.
  2. Select the menu options Edit -> Functions -> Loop analysis -> Execute.
The relationships are no longer highlighted.

Dear Neha,

Please whether the relationship is correctly maintained or not. this means if a relationship exist and at last relation comes to same activity this will lead to Loop.

like 1-2-3-4-1

please also check as below:

Procedure

    • Call up a network or standard network in create or change mode.
    • Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
    The network graphic appears.
  1. Select the menu options Edit ® Functions ® Loop analysis ® Proceed.
  2. Relationships that cause a loop are highlighted in color.
    • Select the relationship that causes the loop.
    • Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
    The relationship is deleted.
  3. To deselect a loop, select the menu options Edit ® Functions ® Loop analysis ® Reset.
  4. To return to the standard network or network, press This graphic is explained in the accompanying text .

Thanks
