You have selected a product instance for the product system that belongs to an add-on product. To do this, it is mandatory to also select the product instances of the associated base product for the product system. However, you have not selected these product instances.

Hello,
You can have a look at SAP KBA 1813549. I wrote it, so you can ask me for clarification.
The concepts to have is that a technical usage is comprised of product instances. Product instances are comprised of software components. So, in principle, if you cover the software components with correct product instance assignments in LMDB, the error message should be solved.
In addition to the information in the KBA, you may want to consider the software component , product instance and technical usage mappings described in SAP Note 1818596 for EHP7 systems.
For the error message about SL TOOLSET 1.0: The add-ons are installed 'on top' of standalone product versions. A given add-on has, in most cases, a required standalone product version and also a product instance that should be installed in the system (easy example: if you have a Netweaver Java only system, you cannot install add-ons which have as a requirement Netweaver AS ABAP product instance ). The required instance for CTS Plugin is the product instance Application Server ABAP of Netweaver (any Netweaver after EHP1 for SAP Netweaver 7.0 will do). What this means, is that you probably did not mark in LMDB the AS ABAP or any other equivalent instance for your system.
The 'Successor installed...' error messages usually mean that you have a software component, which could belong to a product version or the next higher product version of the same product. Said software component is not covered by any product instance assignment in LMDB. So, Maintenance Optimizer estimates both the higher and the lower product version, and triggers another check which prevents a product version and its successor to be installed at the same time.
All in all, the looks of this is that your product instance assignments in LMDB are incomplete, and not by a little.
Best regards,
Miguel Ariño

I have the same error (MOPZ_CHECKS246) with Solman 7.1 SPS12 and can't find a solution...

These errors are normally related to incorrect product system definitions in the LMDB. Make sure that you run the verification step in the LMDB and make sure it completes with a "green" status. It's also important to note that it is wise to run a verification check everytime you make a change.
